A 20-minute weekly review that works

A short review beats a heroic restart. The goal is to notice what changed, remove one obstacle and choose the next commit.

Most study plans fail because they depend on perfect weeks. A review is a small reset that keeps a normal, imperfect week moving in the right direction.

The review, in four questions

  1. 01
    What did I actually build?

Count output, not hours. A working example, a test or a written explanation is evidence.

  2. 02
    Where did I get stuck?

Name the exact sentence, error or missing concept. “I do not understand JavaScript” is too large to act on.

  3. 03
    What is next?

Choose one lesson or one small feature for the next session. Write the acceptance condition before you start.

  4. 04
    What should I remove?

Drop one subscription, tab or exercise that is not producing evidence. Attention is a budget.

Keep the review in the same place every week: a note, a repository issue or a short message to a study partner. The format matters less than the recurring appointment.
