This document describes EduByte’s current practices and commitments. It is reviewed periodically. For legal questions, contact legal@edubyte.tech.
Acceptance
By using EduByte you agree to these terms and the privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms describe the current service and are reviewed periodically.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. Do not share an account. We may suspend accounts that are used for abuse, automated scraping, exam impersonation or attacks on the platform.
Subscriptions and billing
EduByte Pro is an optional recurring subscription billed monthly or yearly through our payment processor. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel. Prices and billing intervals are shown at checkout before payment. You can cancel from the billing portal at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law or where the service was materially faulty, payments are non-refundable. We may change Pro features or prices with reasonable notice; existing subscribers will be told before a renewal at a new price.
Pro and certification integrity
Pro buys preparation tools, not a credential. Mock exams, mastery reports and study plans do not alter the certification pass mark, the question standard or the issue process. A certificate is issued only after the same timed, closed-book, server-scored assessment available to every learner.
Acceptable use
You may read lessons, run examples and complete assessments for your own learning. You may not:
- Attempt to access another learner’s account, assessment evidence or private data.
- Use the code runner to attack infrastructure, mine cryptocurrency or bypass quotas.
- Scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for others, or republish paid or protected assessment content.
- Misrepresent a certificate, alter a credential record, or present a credential as an accredited degree.
- Upload malware, unlawful content or material that infringes another person’s rights.
Content and intellectual property
Lessons, explanations, exercises and assessments are owned by EduByte or used under licence. You may use example code in your own projects. You may not republish lesson content in bulk, sell it, or present it as your own course.
Certificates
A certificate records that you passed a specific EduByte assessment version under the rules shown for that program. It is not an accredited degree, a university qualification or a government endorsement. Credentials may be revoked or superseded if issued in error or obtained through misconduct.
No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee employment, admission, promotion or any particular learning outcome. Learning depends on your effort and context. We aim for technical accuracy but content may contain errors; report them and we will review.
Availability and changes
The free public site is provided as-is. Features may change, and assessments may be updated to reflect current practice. If a program version changes, credentials already issued remain linked to the version that was assessed.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, EduByte is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
