SQL · Reading data

limit

Returns a page of rows. Offset pagination gets slower and can skip rows under concurrent writes.

sqlRunnable example sql course

Syntax

limit 10 offset 20

Example

Open in the lab

WITH lessons(title) AS (VALUES ('A'), ('B'), ('C'))
SELECT title FROM lessons ORDER BY title LIMIT 2 OFFSET 1;

Reference pages are the quick answer. The course explains the why, shows the full example and ends with a challenge.
