ReturnType<T>

Extracts the return type of a function type. Handy when you cannot import the type directly.

Syntax

ReturnType<typeof fn>

Example

function makeUser() {
  return { id: "u1", name: "Ada" };
}
type User = ReturnType<typeof makeUser>;
